The chocolate brand Vochelle bites in the social strategy with iCanvas

Maestro Swiss, owner of the Vochelle chocolate brand, has appointed iCanvas to manage the implementation of its social and digital media strategy following a pitch. ICanvas is a new business unit launched by iMedia Group and will also be responsible for Vochelle’s key media planning and purchasing in 2022. The appointment is for one year.

Maestro Swiss Marketing Director Evans Khoo said the company is proud to work with the iMedia team to capitalize its digital experience and multiple platforms to connect Vochelle to its target consumers. Khoo also added that with this appointment, Vochelle would be able to refresh the brand to become the top priority for consumers.

Likewise, Commercial Director Alwin Yew said Vochelle is currently well positioned to grow exponentially over the next three years. “In a competitive but exciting market, Vochelle plans to create unique offerings tailored to the taste buds of every Malaysian through its different flavor and packaging offerings,” Yew explained.

According to the Group, iCanvas was conceptualized and launched in 2021, focusing on creative and content-driven digital solutions. With most economic sectors closed, the Group knew that companies needed a new way to market their brands online.

It is currently led by Lydia Kwan, who leads the strategy role, and supported by current iMedia Group Commercial Director Ken Wei for his integrated digital media business. According to the Group, the team currently has four people. Currently, Maestro Swiss is its first client, and the agency is working on some proposals in the real estate and FMCG sectors.

Kwan said that over the past two years, the team has noticed a shift in digital media consumption habits and, at the same time, in the way customers execute their digital campaigns. “Traditional display banners or even branded infomercial type content are taking a back seat as consumers seek responsive and engaging content that is relevant to them. At iCanvas, we want to leverage our deep understanding of consumers, gained through iMedia’s broad brand portfolio. , to help bridge this gap between customers and consumers in the most effective and engaging way, ”she added.

“The pandemic has changed the way businesses work,” said Voon Tze Khay, CEO of iMedia Group. Today, clients and advertisers are looking for more integrated solutions and creative ways to work with media companies. According to Voon, iCanvas is ready to provide customers with out-of-the-box strategic thinking, design and production capabilities to give them “better value for money.”

“Both companies are aligned with the goals of developing a new brand image for Vochelle over the years and the upcoming Chinese New Year will kick off the campaign to roll out the communications and marketing initiatives of the brand, ”Voon explained.

Separately in July of last year, iMedia Group entered the social commerce scene with a full acquisition of Lovelife Technologies, owner and operator of beauty e-commerce and influencer marketing company Favful. Under the agreement, iMedia would be responsible for accelerating revenue for Lovelife Technologies’ influencer advertising unit as well as branded content. He will also be responsible for driving content and lifestyle engagement around Favful’s website and social media platforms. As part of the deal, all of Lovelife Technologies’ social media assets would be fully merged into the iMedia ecosystem. The group was started in 2020 by Voon with co-founders Loh Ken Wei, Jacky Tee and Brian Alexis.
